The folks at Gizmodo Australia have got their hands on what they’re saying is “training material” for the soon-to-be-released Nexus tablet. They’re saying the tablet will be a 7-incher built by ASUS and be debuted at Google I/O this week just as expected. The specs are also pretty close to everyone’s guess:

  • 7-inch 1280×800 IPS Display
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (not confirmed to be 5.0 just yet)
  • 1.3GHz Quad-Core Tegra 3 CPU
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB / 16GB Internal Storage
  • 1.2MP Front Camera
  • 8 Hours Battery Life
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n

Unfortunately, Gizmodo hasn’t published anything from this training document aside from the image you see, so we’ll have to wait until later this week to see if these specs are real. It was previously rumored that Google was ready to launch its tablet in July, so the timing works out — Google I/O kicks off on Wednesday, June 27th, and we’ll see what they have in store for us.
