VLC-Beta for Android now available in Google Play store

After what seemed like eternity, VLC has hit the shelves at Google Play Store. The VLC package is still available in beta which is not that stable as said by the developer of this app. This beta version is only for those devices which supports the NEON engine. The Developers at VideoLAN promised that they will soon release the stable version of the app.

The release arrives complete with a basic widget that lets you play, pause, and skip tracks when using VLC to play music. You can grab VLC Beta for Android from the Google Play store now, but bear in mind that, according to VideoLAN, “it might kill your kitten, destroy your house, and start the Mayan apocalypse.”
